One Seat Gap Between Groups

Glenbrook Cinema has re-introduced a 1 seat gap between groups for new bookings and tickets sold as of 4pm from 23 June 2021. This rule may change or be removed without notice in line with changing restrictions.

We have also capped maximum capacity to 50%.

Face Masks Compulsory Again

Face masks are compulsory within the foyer and auditorium once again until further notice.



Your Health and Safety

Glenbrook Cinema has a duty of care to protect the health and safety of staff, patrons and contractors by reducing the risk of contracting COVID-19.

Glenbrook Cinema has developed a Workplace Health and Safety Plan for managing COVID-19 in accordance with mandatory guidelines enforced by Work Safe Australia and other relevant state agencies.

Extremely Important

For the safety of our local community, if you are feeling unwell, please do not attend Glenbrook Cinema.

Cinema Seating and Capacity

In an effort to keep our community safe the capacity and social distancing rules applied to our seating plan is continually changing to accommodate the ever changing restrictions.

We have re-introduced a 1 seat gap between groups as of 23rd June, and will be monitoring  changes to regulations. Maximum currently capacity capped at 50%.

Please Consider Others:

When entering and exiting the auditorium we strongly encourage patrons to be mindful of others and observe physical distancing from other patrons outside of your own group where possible.

Face Masks

It is difficult to ensure 1.5m distance from other patrons within Glenbrook Cinema.

We encourage all patrons to bring your own Face Covering to wear.

As of 23rd June 2021 face masks are compulsory within the foyer and auditorium once again until further notice.

Naturally taking face coverings off when consuming food or drinks when seated is acceptable.

Disposable face masks can be purchased at the cinema in the event you forget to bring one.

Social Distancing

Our team will endeavour to monitor the foyer capacity however we also need your help to safely achieve this. If you are entering the building and the foyer appears busy, please be patient and queue outside the venue waiting for the area to clear, (a team member should be available to assist with this process).

Once you have purchased tickets and snacks, please move promptly inside the auditorium to your allocated seats.

We ask that all guests follow distance markers throughout the venue, this includes any movement through the foyer area and within the auditorium.  Social distancing measures have been put in place including queue controls. All patrons are asked to maintain the adequate distance from other guests outside their group.

Please Note:
Glenbrook Cinema has modified the foyer so that ticket sales and candy bar sales now all occur at the one counter creating a single direction traffic flow.

Good Hygiene

Glenbrook Cinema provides an automatic hand sanitiser station at the entry of the premises and entry of the auditorium. There is an additional hand santiser pump adjacent to the serving counter and also one on the lamp table within the entry to the auditorium.

We encourage all guests to:

  • Use hand sanitiser provided
  • Wash hands frequently
  • Place rubbish in bins
  • Cover cough and sneezes
  • Dispose of tissues
  • Do not attend the cinema if you are feeling unwell

Venue Cleaning

Within the auditorium Glenbrook Cinema has always maintained thorough cleaning between sessions so that each patron enters a clean, vacuumed, rubbish free venue. We now allow a minimum of 35 minutes between sessions to also ensure seat arms and cup holders are sanitised prior to each session.

Soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers, taps, handles, latches, handrails, service counter, coffee tables, foyer seats and other high touch areas are cleaned with disinfectant after high traffic periods (i.e. after session start time and at the end of each session). 

All Glenbrook Cinema staff have been instructed on COVID-19 safety, hygiene and cleanliness protocols to ensure good hygiene practices. Many staff members have also undertaken formal COVID Marshall training.

Contact Tracing

We ask that every patron entering the theatre check in using the official NSW Government QR Code avaialble at the entry. Please ensure you have the Service NSW APP installed on your phone prior to arrival to save time.

All patrons are encouraged to download and have active the COVIDSafe App when visiting Glenbrook Cinema.

When purchasing tickets online the purchaser's contact name and email address is recorded for contact tracing purposes. When booking over the phone Glenbrook Cinema will ask for your name and phone number.

When purchasing tickets directly at the cinema box office for the current session, Glenbrook Cinema staff require you to check-in using the NSW Government App.

Contactless Payment

We kindly ask patrons to please avoid using cash at Glenbrook Cinema.

Choosing your own seats and purchasing tickets online prior to attending the venue is strongly recommended.

If purchasing tickets at the venue, Glenbrook Cinema highly encourages contactless payment using our integrated EFTPOS facilities.

Cancelations and Refunds

If you are unwell and unable to attend, Glenbrook Cinema offers free ticket exchanges for any other session as long as prior notice is given.

Non-attendance due to COVID-19 factors will automatically be grounds for a refund as long as we are notified prior to session start time.

Ticket cancelations and refunds will be considered on a case by case basis. Unfortunately when purchasing tickets online Glenbrook Cinema cannot refund the $1 per ticket third party booking fee. Ticket exchanges for another time is recommended.
