That’s Entertainment…
JOKER: FOLIE À DEUX is a very adult market film which will certainly keep you engaged throughout. The film is a markedly disturbing and dark psychological musical drama essentially focusing on activities in a prison and courtroom, reviewing the conviction of a split personality serial killer.

It is an artistic mix of movie genres featuring sophistically clever integration of well known theatrical songs performed by Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix which will undoubtedly polarise audiences. The overall digital surround soundtrack is extremely impressive.

Unlike the original JOKER, which is not prerequisite viewing, this movie will appeal to those open to non-standard movie formulas, and those not expecting more-of-the-same. It is far from a feel-good film as it centres on some very dark themes, yet ultimately is a well-crafted project. This film is classified MA15+ and is not recommended for younger viewers.

Whether you leave the cinema appreciating this film will ultimately depend on your frame of reference and expectations.
